Raytheon developed a match-on-card smart card, which matches the card owner with the card holder through fingerprints, for the Intelligence Community nearly 4 years ago. We parlayed that R&D and related experience to develop a self-verifying device. The Raytheon team worked with technology partners to create a credit card size device that combines biometric (finger prints) and radio frequency (RF)technology to track people entering or exiting U.S. borders by foot or by car.
