L-1 Identity Solutions predicts 2nd-quarter revenue above analysts' expectations

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) -- L-1 Identity Solutions Inc., which produces identification cards and credentials, said Wednesday that its second-quarter revenue will beat analysts' expectations.

For the quarter that ends June 30, L-1 expects revenue of $135 million to $145 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect second-quarter revenue of $134.7 million, on average.

L-1 also expects a profit of 3 cents to 5 cents per share. Analysts, whose estimates typically exclude special items, expect a profit of 2 cents per share.

For the full year, L-1 anticipates $555 million to $575 million in revenue. Analysts are looking for $562.8 million in full-year revenue.

L-1 shares fell 10 cents to $14.42 in midday trading.
