SAIC, San Diego, Calif., was awarded on Sept. 25, 2007, a delivery order amount of $13,550,000 as part of a $64,641,209 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for operations and maintenance of the Biometrics Automated Toolset and Detention Management System. Work will be performed in Iraq/Afghanistan (80 percent), and Arlington, Va. (20 percent), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 16, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Aug. 20, 2001, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-02-D-0006).
